U okviru 65. Art ćakule predstavio nam se Stef Van Bellingen iz Belgije, kustos organizacije WARP.
WARP – platforma savremene umetnosti, koja se nalazi u Belgijskom gradu Sint-Niklaas, već više od 16 godina sarađuje sa umetnicima. Ova organizacija ima nekoliko izlagačkih prostora i rezidencijalni program. Jedan od njenih glavnih ciljeva je izgradnja dugoročnih relacija sa umetnicima.
Kustos Stef Van Belingen je predstavio redovne aktivnosti WARP platforme. Umetničko selo i Dani portfolija su okupljanja umetnika i razgovori jedan na jedan sa stručnjacima u široj kulturnoj delatnosti (kustosima, psiholozima, arhitektama, umetnicima…). Stef je takođe govorio o aktuelnim saradnjama sa drugim kulturnim organizacijama.
Pored izlagačkog i rezidencijalnog programa, na svake 3-4 godine WARP organizuje gradski festival pod nazivom ‘Coup de Ville’ koji se paralelno odvija na desetinama lokacija u gradu Sint-Niklaas.
Stef deluje kao kustos još od radih devedesetih. Do sada je organizovao izložbe u Briselu, Dakaru, Dablinu, Londonu, Ljubljani, Beču, Veneciji, Hagu, Ludvigshafenu… WARP je osnovao 2006. godine u malom belgijskom gradu Sint-Niklaas, u kome je odrastao. Nezavisno od angažmana za WARP, Stef je do sada bio član mnogih komisija, odbora, žirija, kao i kultrni ambasador grada Sint-Niklaas.

WARP – Contemporary art platform located in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, has been working with artists for more than 16 years.
WARP houses several exhibition spaces and a residency. One of the main goals is to establish long-term relationships with artists.
Curator Stef Van Bellingen presented regular activities of WARP. Artists Village and Portfolio Days are gatherings of artists with one-on-one conversations with specialists from the broad cultural field (curators, psychoanalists, architects, artists…). Stef also talked about current cooperation with other cultural organizations.
On top of exhbition programme and residencies, every 3 to 4 years WARP organises the cityfestival ‘Coup de Ville’ that takes part on different locations in the city of Sint-Niklaas.
Stef Van Bellingen has been active as a curator since the early 90’s and organised exhibitions in Brussels, Dakar, Dublin, London, Ljubljana, Ludwigshafen, The Hague, Venice, Vienna… In 2006 he founded WARP in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium) – the small city where he grew up. Apart the actvities at WARP, Stef has been a member of various art commities, boards, juries, as well as The Cultural Ambassador of Sint-Niklaas.
